Purchased this kit in the Summer of 2011 and have been very happy with it. The few minor issues that come to mind are addressed below.All the pieces seemed to be there, but it's really hard to determine with full certainty.Anyway, the most important pieces are the five lenses. Two are Canon lenses (18-55mm and 75-300mm). One is by Vivitar (500mm Mirror); one is by Zeikos (fisheye); and, one is by Bower (2x). All lenses work satisfactorily, although the fisheye is a little less dramatic than I had hoped.The carrying cases are not great. There is a small Zeikos case, which is only compatible with the 55mm (or smaller) lens. There also is a small Vivitar backpack, which bulges a bit when one tries to fit the camera plus a spare lens into it.Other than that, there is nothing to complain about. For the price, this model of Canon may offer the best picture quality on the market. The only thing that I have heard is that Nikon tends to be better for landscape photography, as it accentuates the greens and blues. Canon, on the other hand, tends to produce warmer pinks, yellows, and reds. Thus, it may be better for portraits.Consider your purpose when making your choice, but if you go with Canon, I recommend this package.
